The Care Quality Commission (CQC) conducted inspections at Eureka Care Services between January and March. Eureka Care Services provides support to adults with various needs, including dementia, physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and autism. Following these inspections, the CQC issued a report detailing their findings.
- The CQC's inspection report found that Eureka Care Services was rated "inadequate" in all five key areas. These areas include whether services are safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led. This rating indicates significant concerns across the entirety of the service's operations.
- Specifically, the report highlighted issues with the safety of the service, suggesting that people were not always protected from abuse or avoidable harm. The effectiveness of care was also questioned, implying that care plans may not have been consistently followed or appropriate to individual needs.
- Furthermore, the CQC found that the service was not always caring, raising concerns about the dignity and respect afforded to individuals. Responsiveness was also identified as a problem, indicating that the service might not be adapting well to the changing needs of those it supports. Finally, the leadership and management of Eureka Care Services were deemed not to be well-led, suggesting a lack of oversight and strategic direction.
