In response to historic central Indiana floods in mid-August, the CTS Counseling Center at the Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis is providing free mental health support. This initiative aims to assist individuals, couples, and families across the state who are experiencing distress due to the flooding.
- The counseling services are available through the end of 2026, offering up to five free sessions per eligible recipient. The center's director, Bryan Votaw, highlighted the impact of the floods on the local community. The program intends to address the psychological toll of the natural disaster on Hoosiers, acknowledging the widespread distress caused by the extensive flooding that affected central Indiana. This provision of free counseling is a direct effort to support community well-being in the aftermath of the significant weather event. The service is open to anyone in the state affected by the floods.
