Want to experience the slopes from a new perspective? How about from 40 metres above the ground and at high speed? La Plagne’s ‘cascade’ zip wire, running between Belle Plagne and Bellecôte, includes 9 wires and a 9 metre jump. For a true adrenaline rush, try the Super Tyro zipline, which whisks you down a 600-metre line at speeds of up to 90km/h with stunning views of Mont Blanc.

Olympic medallist and world champion Bruno Mingeon offers private bobsledding experiences. He will steer you down the 1,500m course built for the 1992 Albertville Winter Olympics at speeds of up to 130km. This isn’t for the faint of heart, but rest assured you’re in safe hands!

This is one of the most futuristic and surreal experiences to try at La Plagne. You can explore the resort on a snow e-bike; an electric bicycle with caterpillar tracks that can cruise at exhilarating speeds through the snow.

This is easily our personal favourite. After the slopes close at night, you can race Superluge sleds down a 5km course by the light of helmet-mounted torches. Once you reach the finish end of the 90-minute descent, you will be welcomed by staff with steaming mulled wine and hot chocolate. It is truly a unique experience.
